Titel:Taking cases to the European court of human rights
Auteur: Kerim Yildiz and Lucy Claridge
Samenvatting: The Kurdish Human Rights Project (KHRP) started its litigation programme in 1992. Since then this programme has been developed widely. Following on from the success of its European Convention Training and Litigaton Support Programme in Turkey, KHRP and the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales (BHRC) initiated the programme in Armenia and Azerbaijan, who ratified the European Convention on Human Rights in April 2002. We co-operate with a number of organisations focusing on these and numerous other regions. The programme seeks to give advice and assistance to non-governmental organisations (NGO's) and legal practitioners about the practice, procedure and law of the European Convention on Human Rights. This manual provides commentaries on the practice and procedure of the European Court, as well as including key texts such as the Convention itself, the Court's application form and a table of legal aid rates. It has been produced in order to complement the on-going training seminars being held in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and other parts of Europe, which have been designed to provide very practical advice about taking cases to the European Court of Human Rights.
