There parents and grandparents were exposed to the uprooting of 1948, the occupation beginning in 1967, and then the Intifada. The Intifada raises images of children who threw stones and directly confronted the Israeli soldiers.
These children dared to raise the Palestinian plag and Israel only responded with more offensive measures: shooting, killing, detention and night raids in homes.
Trauma, violence and mental health documents these experiences and analyzes the relation between these traumatic events and children's mental health. |
